GRAD STUDENT OR FACULTY/STAFF ROOMMATE TO EXCHANGE SUPPORT FOR RENT WANTED IN NEWTON

Starting anytime after June 1st, Newtonville, 3-floor townhouse with 3 BRs, each with private bath. Looking for males (preferred) and females mid-20’s to 30’s roommate who wants to earn $32/hr to provide light evening support by grocery shopping and... cooking dinner for me. I need support in planning healthy meals, getting groceries and cutting & chopping all the healthy ingredients that go into a dinner meal with veggies and salad. I like to help with clean-up, but sometimes I need some quality control on this. :) This is a new arrangement for me, but likely the hours would be approximately 5:30-8pm Sunday – Thursday, plus some time for grocery shopping, (totaling 10-12 hrs/week). I'm also happy to heat up frozen or left-over meals on a night when you have a conflict or are on vacation. Ideally you would share with me the dinner that you've cooked – with natural exceptions for Zoom calls that shift the hour I'm available to eat. The concept is that as long as you are working 10 hrs/week, you would earn enough $ to cover the rent. The rent for the BR/private bath is $1600, including utilities and Wifi (a $150/mo value). The BR/bath is very private, as these are the only two spaces on the 2nd floor. The BR has two windows, two good-sized closets and room for a desk. The BR room is unfurnished and the common areas are mostly furnished, but with room for additional furniture. The townhouse is very quiet, appropriate for studying or quiet entertaining. The townhouse is very sunny on three sides, with an eat-in kitchen; open LR/DR cathedral ceiling; laundry; home gym; outdoor patio and dedicated, uncovered parking in rear. Central A/C. 1 block from village of Newtonville; 5 minute walk to MBTA Commuter Rail and buses. Me: I work PT for Newton Public Schools, creating programming for students with disabilities. I have a moderate disability myself – primarily balance and OT challenges. I'm very involved in the Newton community through politics, advocacy for people with disabilities and church volunteer work. I also love musical theatre and community concerts. I'm looking for someone to share my goals of Lifelong Learning by being exposed to new people and experiences. NO PETS. Must be able to make a one–year commitment. I have a longer job description if you're interested.
