This is a fully-furnished comfortable loft apartment, with high ceilings, a full wall of windows, and a lovely living room, kitchen, dining room and pantry. The bedroom has two closets and two built-in clothing storage units. 

I own the unit and... used to live here. Now I only work here in my private office, alone, during the work week. I come in after you go to work or school, and leave before dinner time. I never stay overnight - you will live here alone. 

This is a wonderful opportunity for the right person. I am looking for a clean, quiet, mature graduate or post-doc student, or a faculty or staff member, who works full-time outside the home, and keeps shared spaces clean and tidy.

My previous roommate/tenants have been international post-docs at medical/dental schools and professional university labs.

The 1200 square foot apartment will be available January 1st, 2026 for a minimum one-year renewable lease. I would prefer a lease from January 2026 - May/June 2027. No short-term rentals.

The building is quiet, mostly owner-occupied, professionals, artists, and families. No parties, pets, or loud noise after 11pm.

Rent is $1750/month and includes all utilities (heat, hot water, gas stove, electric, wireless internet, air conditioner, and use of shared laundry facilities right across the hall).

Apartment is a 15 min. walk to BU Medical Campus or bike ride to MGH. Five minute walk to transit, Whole Foods, CVS, cafes, restaurants and all the restaurants and activities the South End has to offer.

10-15 minute walk to Orange, Green or Red Line T (subway), Back Bay, Public Garden, Chinatown, etc., etc.

I am friendly, a clear communicator, and easy to talk to. We will rarely cross paths, so I am looking for a mature and responsible person.
