Beautiful Two-Bedroom Apartment (1 room available, 7/1 move-in)

This lovely two-bedroom apartment has been home for over 4 years. I'm looking for a warm, quiet, and conscientious roommate to fill one room. Must be smoke-free! Couples are welcome: I lived here together with a couple for 3 years and would be happy... to do so again (with rent split evenly per person).

The room is available starting on July 1st.

I've recently completed my graduate degree at BU, where I teach as a lecturer full-time. I'm very passionate about my work as a teacher, as well as all things health and fitness. I enjoy maintaining the apartment as part of my weekly routine, and in a roommate I'd want someone who doesn't tend to let dishes/spills/clutter accumulate in the main area, and likes when rooms are left how they're found. If you feel the same way, you'll like living with me, as the place will stay clean basically all of the time. I'm also fairly quiet - other than to cook, I mainly use the common area to read, and watch sports or a movie occasionally. If I meet up with people it's typically outside of the apartment.

The common area is a work in progress: I’ve been putting it together myself little by little (I'll mount the TV very soon), and it's very important to me that the space be warm and welcoming to both of us. I hope that you wouldn't feel like a stranger in someone else's space because I've furnished most of it. We don’t necessarily need to be friends, but I think it’s best if we aren’t total strangers and do something together every now and again.

The landlord's requirements are typical: first and last month's rent plus security deposit (~$1500) upon signing, credit check, proof of income (and possibly a guarantor), and ID. The building is managed, recently updated, and well taken-care of. Although I’ve rarely needed anything from them, maintenance responds promptly.

If you're interested, please message me with some information about yourself. I'd be excited to chat further about whether we'd be a great fit, and to show you the apartment either in person or via video call!
